I originally hail from Waterbury, Connecticut, but have been living in the Mountain West since 1995. I started playing the piano as a 10th birthday present, and started performing publicly at the age of 13. I played weddings and classical/pops music around the Salt Lake City area as a teenager, and developed a love for ensemble music playing piano and percussion with the West Valley Symphony in the Salt Lake area.
I attended college for five semesters, studying music education, and developed a love for learning new instruments. In fact, over my lifetime I’ve become relatively proficient on at least 15 instruments (I’ve lost count, though at present I only play four regularly). I then dropped out of college and returned to Salt Lake for a few years.
After a brief stint in Phoenix, I chased a girl up to Dillon, MT, and we married the next year. We are raising four children together here in Dillon, where I work as the quality coordinator for the local hospital. That is where I met Geoff and got involved with his band at the time, called Blacktail.
After Blacktail had run its course, I took some time off and recently have gotten back into the music scene. Ruby Range is a stretch for me, since my background is more in classical and 90s rock. It’s a lot of fun playing with such talented and committed musicians.
